Today, we went to Sakae, there was a massive blackout that allowed for no special homemade dinner so we made do with whatever we had but the cake, presents & the light coming back just after we got home felt pretty special. Dad, covering up any hurt he might have felt at not having a more special celebration [that is, if he did have any, since his feelings are barely human; HE'S LIKE SHELDON FROM BIGBANG THEORY], is my role model. He's content with having just family around him even if he had to see patients today & wake up early. He did "rolypoly" with Sarah and said he was the happiest dad in the world. PLUS, OUR CARD with the caterpillar with googly eyes got him pretty entertained. My dad is freaking awesome even if he self proclaims it & we deny it- he's amazing. My parents deserve a billion times more than what they have.
