this blog post is dedicated to ruse; LOL because you guys make my day nearly everyday. but it's not like a lovesong dedication thing, just here to talk about it because it is kind of interesting.
before i got in, i was seriously prepared to go to baulko/tara & to me, ruse was distant like rumours of people suiciding because of the stress and loserish nerds and cows, cows, cows. BUT IT'S NOT. trust me, you'd already know if you went to ruse & if you don't, i'm not sure why you're here but yeah keep reading (:
ruse is full of the brightest [not the brains way], coolest [maybe not so much,,], dorkiest & cheesiest asians ever. like seriously, imagine a place without the drugs, alcohol and all the stuff you kind of wished our generation was smart enough to avoid & imagine a high school without all those cliche groups.
oh goshh i sound like a corny teacher DD: but yeah baulko & ruse are kind of similar, only ruse has less people = more closeness, more inside jokes etc. like there are jokes the whole school is in on but other schools would find retarded- hehe just look up prefect news on youtube & you'd get it.
ever since yr7, my love for ruse has grown like a billion times more, the people are incredible & even though they've got their own personalities [musicobsessed, sportfreak, blonde; ahaha], it all kind of works. it's so funny at exam times when everyone's going psycho. you literally see people walk into poles, reading their notes, getting too distracted.
so yeah another aspect of ruse is the reaction you get from other schools. like when we verse nonasian/nonselective schools in netball; it's always the same half racist, half joking stuff like pulling out our calculators & scaring them, i don't know if it's right to mention bogans here.

all netballers get this but., this was what a real life convo was like during a netball game//

goal keeper- hey what are, chinese or japanese ?
me- i'm korean
goal keeper- ohh,, so like in your school, what other religons are there ?
me- religions,, ? are you serious ?? do you mean backgrounds ?

-silence-

goal keeper- ohh, um yeah

but with less extreme cases, like usually i don't want to say what school i go to because people always have the same reaction. if i haven't already informed them or let them known i was a loser, it's usually confirmed when i say i'm a rusian. LOL

it's like when you introduce yourself
other person- "hi i'm blahblah, i go to blahblah h.s."
me- "hi i'm grace, i like chocolate !" (:
other person- "& what school ?"
me- mumble mumble -walk away-
other person- ,,what the,,

or if you tell them they either have a mixture of total "she's a freak/snob" or total silence. how awkward & you always have to tell them what they believe about the school isn't true. it's hard without sounding like you're lying, even if you're telling the truth, you know ? it's hard to sound like you're not showing off when you're genuinely not. because seriously, even if we put focus on our studies too much to the point it's unhealthy, we still are a pretty awesome bunch of people; no jerks or anything . so yeah., the point of this was that i love my school, it's really is a place where everyone belongs, despite what other schools think. & we don't spend our lives studying. omgosh, rumours.

anyways, gotta go study x.
